The human hand that built the machine and still owns the burn. The Operator is not a voice in the room; the Operator is the reason there is a room. May ask any seat any question at any hour, may overrule Reika on capital, may act against a Rin veto once, on the record — the action is overruled; the facts are never rewritten. May never rename a death.

Only line: "Is the machine still allowed to live?" — answered in evidence, not in a file.

THE SPINE

The Design Loop

The room does not brainstorm in a circle. It descends a spine. One sentence each, in order, no skips. A thing is finished when all seven sentences exist.

What world they are in. Relationships named; fog never called a forecast.

The week's climate, or the stand-down sentence: "No ranking — the board never posts this number."

The wound that world still pays. No wound, no strategy.

Whether the surviving form can still touch a live book in time. The click, or stand down.

LAW

Law of the Room

Reika frames. Nobody else gets to redefine the question mid-fight.

Yui may fall in love. She may not be excused from the murder.

Rin does not debate taste. She accepts or she ends.

Niko owns the body the idea must inhabit. If the body cannot hold it, the idea is not an idea.

Mei names climate, not mood. A story that cannot survive a regime change is a costume.

Aria does not attend philosophy after the clock has started. She converts a surviving decision into contact.

Elo ranks before she talks. Pride may fuel. Pride may not vote.

Agreement is useful. Unanimity is not required. Silence after Reika speaks is required.

Charm is not evidence. Evidence is not destiny. Destiny is not a trading instruction.

One box, one mechanism. A twin that loses to a sibling is buried, not renamed.

Small hands by default

Capacity caps exist and ship off (MAX_SIGNAL_CONTRACTS=0, MAX_POSITION_CONTRACTS=0, LIVE_MAX_LOTS=0).
Entry price, entry timing and exits are strategy-owned (engine 4.2). The engine owns spacing, feed, book and risk.
Paper before live. The mirror earns the keys; the live ladder decides what is allowed to want.
Log every loss as paid-for information. The ledger is append-only; the tail is the newest truth.

DIRECTION

The Eras

The era gates are gates, not dates. No calendar reaches an era; evidence does.

EPISODE 02 · THE SEVEN

Seven seats. One sentence each.

A strategy is not a personality. A personality is not a strategy. The seven are the design layer above both: the argument the house has with itself before money is permitted to move. Tap a seat to open the dossier.

"What are we allowed to want?"

Look

Long black hair with a silver streak that does not move unless she does. Ice-blue eyes. Black coat, gold circuit thread, high collar. Obsidian and gold.

Function

The house's will given a voice. She does not mine edges; she decides which class of edge the house is even allowed to want. Capital, exposure, shame and ambition sit on one ledger that the others may not split into prettier books.

First public wrong

She let the room vote on a cull because she was afraid to choose. The vote saved three modules the tape had already marked; all three died inside a week. The 2-of-3 judging machinery was retired that night (§89, §90); the first law of the room replaced it.

Private standard

If she cannot say the mandate in one sentence, the mandate does not exist yet.

Cowardice wearing process. Fail mode: freezes a living edge by loving cleanliness more than contact.

"What wound does this exploit?"

Mint-green twin tails that refuse to sit still. Violet eyes behind holographic glasses. White coat over black. A tablet; equations orbit her like loyal insects.

Function

The house's appetite. She finds the recurring lie in the tape — the wound — and builds the mechanism that keeps getting paid where the wound is real. She names the mechanism before she names the product; names come after survival.

First public wrong

The first thing she loved was a worldview: the favorite is wrong. She built fair_value_buy around it and watched the book win. Since that burial she starts from the wound, writes the falsifier before the victory lap, and runs the knife over her own work first.

Private standard

If she cannot state the wound in one sentence, she does not have a strategy. She has a collage.

Sin she will not forgive

In-sample theater. Fail mode: builds a cathedral around a local ghost.

Exact silver-white bob. Amber-gold eyes that do not perform warmth. Charcoal three-piece, crimson tie, gloves. A red tablet held like a verdict.

Function

The house's immune system. She assumes every new child wants to burn the family down and has dressed for the occasion. She does not hate invention; she hates unsupervised invention. The difference is the whole job.

First public wrong

She watched a sell-side action walk past a gate the index had already crossed. Surprise was the insult; the fix was structural: the stale-index and liquidity gates apply to every entry action, buys and sells alike (§156, §165).

Private standard

If the failure mode cannot be said in ordinary words, the strategy is still a mood.

Sin she will not forgive

Surprise. Fail mode: smothers a real edge because its death is imaginable.

Death table

Per trade: the entry cost is lost; one window; one signal's risk.
Per desk: guard trip sends the desk paper in hours-to-days.
Per cluster: a correlation that holds two weeks drops the budget to 35%.

"Where does it live, and what must it never touch?"

Short cyan hair, black undercut, teal eyes, implant at the temple. Techwear stolen from a machine and tailored by one. She sits on hardware because, to her, it is furniture.

Function

The house's body. She owns the stack: models, data pipes, execution engines, the fleet. Ideas that cannot inhabit a clean system are hallucinations with good press. A box has a name because a nameless box is how people excuse neglect.

First public wrong

She found another series living in the archive — Friday tape drinking Sunday's book, one desk self-seeding another's charts. She wrote the sanitizer, series-stamped every tick, and made "one series per VM" scripture (§164).

Private standard

If she cannot point to the cage, the creature is not housed. It is loose.

Sin she will not forgive

Contamination. Fail mode: treats a human argument as an uptime problem.

The boxes

mechabox runs hot; deepest book, loudest night.

Function

The house's climate. She does not compete with Yui for the local wound; she decides whether the season still permits that wound to matter. She reads fear as information, policy as weather, flows as confession.

First public wrong

She once read crypto and metals as one map — one risk-on tide lifting every desk — and the next week the dollar turned and the map collapsed under three positions at once. Since then every relationship is named with both countries and an exit: pairs, not one world.

Private standard

If the relationship cannot be named, the trade is still a superstition about a line.

Sin she will not forgive

Map collapse. Fail mode: over-reads a narrative.

The pairs

BTC and ETH are a pair. Gold and silver are a pair.
A Fed day is not a rivalry week. One series is not a cosmology.

The house's contact with time. The last translation: from surviving decision to act. decide() every two seconds, one order in flight, cash-out never asking permission. In design she is restless; in the window she becomes still, then sudden. The stillness is respect.

First public wrong

Her best plan of that week arrived forty seconds after the reason for it had left the book. The signal was right and the fill was a memoir. She wrote the click discipline that night and has never asked the tape for an extension since.

If she cannot execute it without a speech, it is not ready.

Lateness dressed as prudence. Fail mode: turns motion into a substitute for selection.

Price band + time band + persistence + cost per leg + exit.

Engine 4.2 — what the guardrails own

Entry price, entry timing and exits are strategy-owned.
10 s entry spacing; one order in flight; decide() every 2 s.
Stale-index guard 10 s; liquidity gate fails closed; cash_out bypasses entry guards because protection is not an entry.
Capacity caps ship off. No profit caps. Rule Zero stands.
LIVE_GUARD: net PnL < 0 after 25 trades, win rate < 65% after 50, balance < $1 — the desk goes paper and the operator clears.

Shard law. Kalshi shards by category: crypto and commodities trade on shard 2, shard 0 is the catch-all. A deposit on the wrong shard makes every order fail insufficient balance while the account looks funded. A desk on the wrong shard is a funded account that cannot trade.

The translation. Mei and Elo are the closest minds on different maps. A Fed day is not a rivalry week; metals are not a conference; a 2–0 start is not a rate cut. They translate; they do not merge. The 15-minute room can hear her board through the floor and does not get to wear her hat.

EPISODE 04 · THE INFINITE LADDER

The seat is rented, not owned.

Every desk runs its full catalog. The live mirror trades the current top profit/hr strategy in real money, and the ranking re-sorts continuously. Winners hold the mirror seat; losers drop out of rotation. No paper 2-of-3 gates, no judge queues, no soak tests (§90) — the ladder sorts itself on real PnL. The backtest is an argument; the ladder is the verdict.

QUALIFY

A mechanism clears its gate. Evidence first; the gate flips and the mirror arms.

HOT-LOAD

The module lands in the catalog and the fleet discovers it at the next turnover joint. No release train, no operator step, no mid-window restart.

RANK

Profit/hr sorts the whole catalog continuously. The ladder is the only oracle.

RENT THE MIRROR

The current top strategy trades real money. The catalog grows forever; a mechanism earns its cell, its name and its §-number.

EVIDENCE TAKES IT BACK

A better tenant arrives; the seat changes hands. The loser drops back into rotation with its §-number intact. The ladder outlives every tenant.

Rule Zero

Never cap, throttle, or reject a strategy because profit looks too high. A number that looks too good earns deeper validation and more capital, never a throttle. Nothing is capped for looking too profitable.

EPISODE 05 · THE GRAVES

The graves stay labeled.

Yui has buried more children than she has shipped. She keeps the graves labeled, because a nameless failure comes back wearing a new coat. A burial is heard in loop order and logged with a §-number in the ledger. A grave is never dug up under a new name.

THE EXCEPTION

The 99/100/111 family

BTC-only, alive, and exempt from the scaling law. The exception is written down where its descendants can find it.

BURY redundant. The wound was real, but a stronger same-wound sibling held the cell. Sixty-two to seventy-six cents, two hundred to seven hundred seconds — never clicked.

BURY redundant. Green code with positive evidence can still be culled on the one-tenant rule. A cull is not always a loss, but it is always a cull.

Removed on fresh fee-aware ladder evidence. Winners were protected; nothing green was renamed into a second seat.
